The practical answer

The iDock D23 is the current three-monitor match. The gaming PC needs three appropriate video outputs. The laptop needs a dock or native outputs that genuinely provide three streams, subject to its GPU and operating-system limits.

Product-specific limits

Each computer must provide three independent DisplayPort outputs; the KVM cannot add missing display streams.
5120×1440 is stated up to 120Hz and 3440×1440 up to 165Hz.
monitor-setting retention (EDID) emulation is not supported, so displays may reconnect and windows may move when switching.
It is designed for desktop PCs rather than a single-cable work laptop.

Compatibility constraints

Three connectors on a dock do not guarantee three independent displays.
macOS and laptop GPU limits can reduce the usable monitor count.
monitor-setting retention (EDID) is not retained by the iDock D23, so windows may rearrange when switching.

Prove all three displays directly from the work-laptop dock.
Confirm all three gaming-PC outputs at the intended timings.
Insert the KVM with one cable path per display.
Test window rearrangement, wake and high-refresh modes.
